In the spring of 2020, a group of young athletes in Wauwatosa suddenly had a lot of spare time and a very short list of ways to safely fill that time. So they started participating in the best social distancing activity ever invented: playing catch.

 

It became a daily ritual, and what started as a handful of high-energy, scooter-riding softball slingers quickly became a team.  Games of catch evolved into pitching and catching, hitting and baserunning. They were hard working, high energy, and bold. As this group evolved, they set a team culture that asked each girl to strive to show one common trait on the field: MOXIE.
